Below we have provided you with the minimum recommendations provided by HSE for your Emergency First Aid At Work (inner circle) with the contents of our EFAW course. We feel that you will become a better and more confident Emergency Responder in your work place with all of the additional skills we provide.


1 Day practical training and is typically delivered in 1 day. However the mandatory 6 hours required by the HSE can also be delivered over a longer period of time should staff availability be a problem to your organisation.

A high Quality easy to read Primary and Secondary Care Manual with First Aid at Work Participant Manual are provided to all attendees. A great resource to use during and after the course.

And a Rutland First Aid vinyl barrier set containing gloves and face guards, which you can connect to your keyring and never be without a full set of barriers


None, candidates must be physically able to carry out the detailed procedures (see course overview)


The HSE no longer require an independent assessment of Emergency First Aid at Work candidates. Throughout the course you will be continually monitored and assessed and complete a multiple choice question paper

Course Accreditation

This course is valid for 3 years from the date of completion but the HSE recommend an update at least once a year.

This course can also gain you 6 hours of CPD Credit


To renew or refresh your Emergency at Work First Aid Certificate (EFAW), you will need to take the EFAW training course again once it has expired after 3 years. This is so you are aware of new techniques and advancements which will help you provide more effective treatment.
