First Aid At Work REQUALIFICATION BLENDED (2-Day)
The EFR First Aid at Work (FAW) Blended Course is a comprehensive training program designed for higher-risk workplaces where a full first aid qualification is required. This blended learning approach allows participants to complete theoretical learning through pre-course reading and videos, followed by two days of hands-on practical training.
What is the First Aid at Work Requalification Blended Course
This course is designed to equip first aiders with essential life-saving skills, enabling them to handle a wide range of workplace emergencies safely, promptly, and effectively.
By combining online pre-course study with in-person training, participants can reduce the amount of classroom time while still receiving hands-on practical experience under the guidance of expert instructors.
Upon successful completion, participants will be qualified at the highest level of workplace first aid, ensuring compliance with HSE regulations. This course meets the Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and is ideal for individuals working in environments such as:
Engineering and assembly work.
Food processing and warehousing
Construction and manufacturing
Industries involving dangerous machinery, sharp instruments, or hazardous materials
Upon completion, participants receive a First Aid at Work certificate, valid for 3 years.

Primary Care (Life-Threatening Emergencies)
Scene Assessment – Evaluating hazards and ensuring safety.
Barrier Use – Implementing personal protective measures.
Primary Assessment – Checking for responsiveness, breathing, and circulation.
CPR Techniques – Performing chest compressions and rescue breathing.
Serious Bleeding Management – Controlling and treating major wounds.
Shock & Spinal Injury Management – Stabilizing casualties effectively.
Choking Management – Treating conscious and unconscious choking adults.
AED Use – Understanding and using an Automated External Defibrillator (AED).
Secondary Care (Non-Life-Threatening Emergencies)
Minor Injuries – Treating cuts, bruises, and scrapes.
Temperature-Related Injuries – Managing burns, hypothermia, frostbite, heat stroke, and exhaustion.
Fractures & Musculoskeletal Injuries – Assessing and treating strains, sprains, crush injuries, and head injuries.
Medical Conditions – Responding to heart attacks, strokes, asthma, seizures, diabetic emergencies, allergic reactions, and poisoning.
Workplace Regulations – Understanding RIDDOR, COSHH, and workplace first aid responsibilities.
Assembling a First Aid Kit – Ensuring the workplace has proper medical supplies.
