The EFR First Aid at Work (FAW) Requalification Course is a regulated two-day (12-hour) training program designed for individuals who need to renew their First Aid at Work certification. This course is essential for maintaining compliance with Health & Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 and ensuring that first aiders remain confident and prepared to respond to workplace emergencies.
If your FAW certificate has expired, you can still attend this course. However, if more than one month has elapsed since expiry, the HSE recommends attending the full 3-day FAW course instead. Those opting for the requalification course must be prepared to work at the pace of the course.
The First Aid at Work Requalification Course provides a comprehensive review and refresher of first aid skills, covering CPR, choking, serious bleeding, shock management, and common workplace injuries.
This course includes both theoretical instruction and hands-on practical training, ensuring participants can continue to function competently as workplace first aiders. Successful completion enables participants to maintain their first aider status under HSE guidelines.
Upon completion, participants receive a First Aid at Work Requalification Certificate, valid for 3 years.
The First Aid at Work Requalification Course will refresh your knowledge and skills in:
Scene Assessment – Evaluating hazards and ensuring safety.
Barrier Use – Applying personal protective measures.

A really good training course, very professionally presented by Tracy. I’ve been on lots of training courses over the years and too often they can be soporific! Tracy is one of those rare training professionals who can deliver training and keep a person interested all day! Great course. Highly recommended!

Couldn't recommend Tracy and her team enough for a first aid course. Having to renew it every 3 years used to send me to sleep. Not with these guys! Professional, up to date and with lots of toys to play with, without the death by powerpoint.
